Notes: Not really a direct imperative rather a call for quiet as a teacher would make ina classroom. Bígí ciúin! would be a direct imperative.

Notes: Note that the imperative singular is the root form of the verb. All the other tenses and forms come from it.

Notes: A simple direct imperative.

Notes: The plural imperative is formed normally by adding “igí” or “aigí.”

Notes: Tabhair is an irregular verb and has a different form “tugaigí” in the plural.
